The DRAFT3-CASP trial team are delighted to announce that we received greenlight on 15Feb2023 and are now open to recruitment. DRAFT3-CASP is a randomised non-inferiority trial comparing a splint versus a cast in treating non-displaced distal radius fractures in adults. Treating this type of fracture with a splint could reduce burden for patients and save money for the NHS, and we want to find out if a splint can provide the same support for patients as a cast whilst the fracture heals. We hope to recruit around 2000 participants across the 2 year recruitment period at over 36 sites around the UK. We recruited our first patient on 21Feb2023!
