The former Principal of St Hilda's College, Oxford, and University Pro-Vice Chancellor, joined NDORMS in July 2021 with a focus on translational medicine and the development of modern therapeutics.
Sir Gordon was past-Chair of BBSRC, SAGE and MHRA and is now dedicated to improving human health through planetary health. He played a pivotal role in the appointment of Oxford's first Climax Chair of Clinical Therapeutics, Professor Duncan Richards, and in the University's plans to establish a new Oxford Experimental Medicine Clinical Research Facility (Oxford EMCRF) within NDORMS.
Commenting on his Fellowship Sir Gordon said: "I feel privileged with this honorary appointment in NDORMS, one of the leading Departments in any Medical School worldwide, and look forward to contributing what I can to the continued success of NDORMS in pioneering health advances."
