Maggie Qiao

OCTRU Medical Statistician

I achieved my undergraduate degree of statistics in China in 2019 and then started my first job in a pharmaceutical company as a statistical programmer until 2021. Afterwards, I continued my study in Statistics in Warwick and completed my master’s degree in September 2022. My dissertation was working on to select the most effective treatment for COVID-19 through frequentist and Bayesian meta-analysis.

I joined NDORMS in October 2022 as a Medical Statistician. Currently I am working on clinical trials, mostly are cancer trials and I am keen to contribute to the design, undertaking, analysis and presentation of the results and also enjoy cooperating within a multidisciplinary team.

Prior to my current position, I was a statistical programmer in the oncology team at Pfizer and contributed to create statistical programming deliverables, to apply statistical methodology to analyse clinical trial data using SAS and to support quality control work across different departments.
