MSc in Biomedical Sciences

Clinical Trial Manager

I joined NDORMS in December 2020 as a Clinical Trial Manager for the OPTIMISE trial within the  Experimental Medicine and Rheumatology (EMR) group. As a Clinical Trial Manager, I take the overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of this trial. OPTIMISE is a non-CTIMPs study aiming to look at predicting response to TNFi and/or IL-17i in patients with Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA).

Prior to joining NDORMS, I worked as a Clinical Study Coordinator in the Department of Rheumatology of the Catholic University Hospitals Leuven. (KU Leuven).  Here, I worked on the safety and efficacy of phase II- IV drug and strategy trials in patients with Psoriatic arthritis (PsA), Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and Ankylosing spondylitis (AS).

I attended Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and achieved both my BSc. and MSc degree in Biomedical Sciences. Studying Biomedical Sciences was an excellent choice since I am interested in the human body and its disorders. Being fascinated by the final phases of the drug development process, I pursued my career in the field of clinical research.
