Our work focuses on Ageing and Longevity mechanisms, identifying and characterising factors which control lifespan to better understand and treat age-related disorders.

Using cellular and molecular techniques, and genetically-modified and surgical pre-clinical in vivo models, we explore how dysregulation of such ‘longevity’ mechanisms contributes to musculoskeletal disease, and may be targeted to better manage disorders such as arthritis and bone loss.
