The frontline of clinical practice and research on primary Cam morphology and femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome.

Overall Objectives

  1. To define primary cam morphology and femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome
  2. To compare the imaging outcome measures of primary cam morphology development (research) and FAI syndrome
  3. To identify the risk factors for primary cam morphology development in athletes: definition, measurement and reporting 
  4. To describe the benefits and potential harms of screening for primary cam morphology in athletes: overdiagnosis, overtreatment and potential interventions
  5. To explain primary cam morphology prognosis – who will develop FAI syndrome and hip osteoarthritis
  6. To develop a clinical management plan for athletes with asymptomatic primary cam morphology and FAI syndrome


Workshop plus Symposium:
