We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic undergraduate student to join the Oxford Trauma and Emergency Care (OTEC) group at NDORMS, the University of Oxford. This placement supports the clinical research undertaken by Oxford Trauma and Emergency Care group by providing technical solutions and support for the research team.
 
As a Database Development Assistant, you will work with the Senior Research Information Specialist and study trial managers to support the management of data collection systems and design, develop and maintain data collection forms used by the OTEC. You will also work with the Senior Research Information Specialist to create and develop data collection systems and specifications.
 
This role is available to undergraduate students on a sandwich year course, preferably studying a numerate subject.
 
It is essential to be able to demonstrate the ability to identify solutions to problems/requirements in an efficient manner and are able to work speedily in a methodical way, paying attention to detail and ensuring accuracy. You must have a demonstratable aptitude for learning and using a variety of software packages, with a balanced approach to solving problems with initiative and seeking advice when necessary. Experience in software programming or data science is desirable.
 
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months (from July 2025).
