The post-holder will have a regular on-site presence in our Headington offices, with the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week.
Working closely with the rest of the NDORMS HR Team, you will be responsible for the operational aspects of human resources administration in the department. You will work with a variety of staff groups and line managers to provide an effective HR service, with a particular focus on staff based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic, and Botnar Research, Centres.
This is a varied and interesting role which will require you to engage with various HR procedures, including recruitment, induction, obtaining visas and visa extensions and the University’s end-of-fixed-term-contract processes. You will also confidently advise line managers and staff members on a range of HR issues and handle straightforward employee relations casework, working with central HR as required.
You will have experience of working in an HR team/ role and managing HR processes, with the ability to develop professional and effective working relationships with key stakeholders. An excellent communicator, you will be able to convey HR processes and procedures clearly and accurately and provide a high level of customer service at all times. HR experience within the University of Oxford is desirable.
