The WHITE 9 trial has been given the green light and is now open to recruitment.

WHITE 9 is a multi-centre feasibility randomised controlled trial of intra operative cell salvage versus standard care in patients undergoing surgery for a fractured hip.

Two centres are now open to recruitment – University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire and Royal Berkshire Hospital. John Radcliffe Hospital and Warwick Hospital are expected to be open next; Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is in set up.
