Dr Trish Groves has worked at The BMJ for more than 20 years. She is one of six deputy editors and also senior research editor. Dr Groves leads the team that peer reviews and publishes original research articles, she also leads the BMJ’s international outreach programme, with key responsibility for helping researchers to maximise their chances of publication.

The title of her talk, “Making your research findings accessible to all” will focus on clinical trials, the secrets of getting  published in high impact journals (including the BMJ!), importance of trial registration, publishing the protocol, final results and also the issues around data sharing particularly in response to the proposed ICMJE requirements on data sharing.
