We are responsible for providing the Institute with solutions to problems associated with the wide diversity of data generated and used by our scientists.

Working collaboratively with the Research Informatics group at the SGC, we have particular interests in:

  • Developing and maintaining novel methods for data capture, mining and visualisation using LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and web-based platforms. 
  • Providing structural bioinformatics support to scientists within the Institute. 
  • Supporting the Institute and group's diverse IT needs from front line IT support through to systems application provisioning and specialist high performance compute and storage, in collaboration with MSD-ITS and other relevant University organisations.
