Christopher Maronga
BSc, MSc.
Data Analyst
I work with the Health Economics and Outcome Research group to develop and apply innovative algorithms/systems to extract knowledge and insights from health care data.
I am a Statistician by training with a background in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. My research experience has spanned data management, statistical analysis, and reporting for both interventional and observational studies in the fields of HIV & AIDS, reproductive health, and child morbidity and mortality.
My current work within the HEOR group involves building data pipelines and data products for automated data processing to suit statistical modeling, visualization, and report generation. I research and apply statistical methods for model building in the context of health economics. My programming interest is to design efficient and re-usable software solutions mostly in the form of R packages for data cleaning, validation, statistical analysis, complex visualization, and report authoring.
