Edward Stace

DPhil Student

I completed my Medical Training and initial Tissue Engineering research at the University of Otago, New Zealand. I see Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine as the key to understanding and more successfully treating many diseases that we are currently able to.

My DPhil research examines the relationship between tendon cells and the nano-architecture of electrospun fibrous scaffolds. Our group hopes to tailor degradable biomaterial scaffolds to better promote cell responses and facilitate improved healing in tendon. Hopefully this will also translate into advances in other tissue types.
