Elizabeth Thompson
Research Strategy Manager
I joined the Kennedy Institute in 2015 to assist the Institute Director in communicating the Institute’s science and research strategy to diverse audiences. I provide administrative, project management, and science writing support to aid the delivery of strategic projects, including funding applications, strategic recruitments, materials for the Institute’s Scientific Advisory Board, and public-facing reports. I additionally help with presentations and scientific models, letters of recommendation/support, and internal and external communications arising from the Director’s office.
I also work closely with the NDORMS Communications Team to promote and celebrate the Institute’s research and achievements through various channels.
I was previously a scientific editor for 7 years, including at Cell Press where I worked on the journals Trends in Immunology and Immunity. I have a research background in immunology gained through a PhD at the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre and postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School.
