Filiz Senbabaoglu
Postdoctoral Researcher in Myeloma Target Discovery
I have obtained my PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Koc University, Turkey by investigating the epigenetic factors of chemotherapy resistance in brain tumours. Following my research interest of understanding therapy resistance in cancer patients, I have joined the Oppermann group as a postdoctoral researcher in December 2019.
Currently, I investigate the genetic/epigenetic factors of proteasome inhibitor and immunomodulatory drug resistance in multiple myeloma. By utilizing established drug resistant cell line models and patient-donated samples we aim to find novel targets for multiple myeloma treatment.
