Autophagy and Immune Senescence
Autophagy is impaired during ageing in multiple systems including immune cells, which contributes to cellular senescence and the pathogenesis of many age-related diseases. I am interested in
a) The mechanism of autophagy dysfunction during ageing,
b) How impaired autophagy leads to immune senescence, and
c) If immune senescence could be reversed by autophagy induction.
