James van Santen
Clinical Trials Administrative Coordinator - CPinBOSS
James is a Clinical Trials Administrative Coordinator for CPinBOSS study. CPinBOSS is a service evaluation with an embedded cohort study looking at the outcomes after Single Entry Multi Level Surgery (SEMLS) for children and young people with Cerebral Palsy. It’s an important step to providing evidence based health care for this patient population.
James completed a BSc in Sport Science from Bangor University, Wales in 2009, later completing an MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology in 2012. Since University, James has worked on several research projects and was a research assistant for the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in a Talent Testing Identification Program with the aim of creating a model that predicts future international cricket players at a young age.
James has been working in NDORMS since September 2015 as a Centre Administrator for Arthritis Research UK, Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis, moving on to a study coordinator in the Arden Group. Primary roles were to run 2 large longitudinal cohort studies (Chingford & VIDEO) whilst also setting up a study looking at bone mineral density in athletes.
