Jerneja is currently reading for a DPhil in Musculoskeletal Sciences. Her research is focused on the relationship between sports participation and musculoskeletal injuries, post-traumatic osteoarthritis and foot and ankle conditions. She is also researching the physical impacts, psychological impacts and effects on well-being from running.
She read her BSc in Podiatry at University of East London and completed her Masters degree in Musculoskeletal Sciences at University College London, in which her thesis was awarded a nomination for the Dean’s Prize.
Jerneja has also undertaken the Arthritis Research UK - Centre for Sport, Exercise & Osteoarthritis Research Internship at the University of Southampton and has received several awards.
