Lucy Sansom

OCTRU Trainee Clinical Trial Manager

I moved to Oxford in 2012 where I joined Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) as a Medical Laboratory Scientific Officer (MLSO). I worked on several large-scale cardiovascular clinical trials and took on an active role in the training and supervision of laboratory analysts for the MEXICO cohort study.

I then transferred to Bioanalysis Core within the Department of Oncology in early 2016, where I took on the role of Bioanalysis Scientist; using HPLC-MS analysis in early phase pharmacokinetic trials and pre-clinical research and method development.

I will be based between the Botnar Research Centre and Kadoorie Centre in my current role as Trainee Trial Manager within OCTRU, working alongside some OxTrauma trials such as DRAFFT2 and WHIST, and setting up a feasibility study, Woodcast.
