Nicole Yager
Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Immunology
I joined the Bowness group in 2017, and have been investigating the immune response in psoriatic arthritis (PsA), with a keen interest in cytometry techniques and analysis. I am currently involved in the OPTIMISE (Optimising Psoriatic Arthritis Therapy with Immunological Methods to Increase Standard Evaluation) clinical study which will test whether we can predict if PsA patients with high Th17 cells predicts response to biologic drugs.
In addition, I am currently in charge of managing the BD LSRFortessa flow cytometer that is located in the Botnar Research Centre.
Previously, I completed my DPhil at the Peter Medawar Building for Pathogen Research, with a focus on HIV-1 immunology. I then worked at the University of Southampton as a postdoctoral research fellow with an interest in psoriasis.
