Pengfei Li

Since 2013, Pengfei has been studying for an MD from The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine having graduated from the orthopaedics major at Jiangxi University of Chinese Medicine.

He has projects supported by Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and other funding and has recently published in the area of osteonecrosis of femoral head and hip fracture in journals such as Gene, Oncotarget, CJT and CJTER.

He is a visiting student at the OOEC, NDORMS, University of Oxford and a clinical observer at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, supervised by Professor David Murray and Dr Stephen Mellon.

Pengfei is undertaking research into the cementless unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) design of implant in the Asian population and the outcomes of UKA in knees with PCL deficiency. He is interested in 3D musculoskeletal modelling, biomechanics, orthopaedic engineering and finite element analysis (FEA) to carry out research on hip and knee joint diseases.
