Sara Danielli
Postdoctoral Researcher
I am a postdoc researcher in Jelena Bezbradica Mirkovic lab where I study the way in which the innate immune system can sense environmental signals and initiate the appropriate inflammatory response.
I have previously worked in the lab of Prof. Katja Simon at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine where I looked at the role of autophagy in neutrophil differentiation and in Prof Julian Knight and Dr Benjamin Fairfax at the Wellcome Trust Centre of Human Genetics, where I worked on cancer immunology.
During my DPhil in Jelena Bezbradica Mirkovic lab, I investigated the role of CALHM6 a tetraspanin membrane protein in the response to bacterial infection, and in particular in the immunological synapse.
