Varsha Gandhi


Research Associate in Rehabilitation

Varsha is a research physiotherapist at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS), University of Oxford. As part of the BOOST study ( Better Outcomes for Older People with Spinal Trouble) her responsibilities include training clinicians across participating NHS sites. BOOST is a UK-wide, multi-centre randomized clinical rehabilitation study funded by the NIHR.  

She previously worked as a trial manager on the PROVE study (Physiotherapy Rehabilitation for Osteoporotic Vertebral Fracture) led by Professor Karen Barker at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, University of Oxford. She is a chartered physiotherapist, is HCPC registered and has previously worked as an independent consultant physiotherapist in Exeter, UK. She also holds valid licenses to practice physiotherapy in the US and India.

Her interests include project management in clinical research and keeping abreast of new technology in rehabilitation.
