The NIHR HTA programme has funded the SPRAINED study (Synthesising a clinical Prognostic Rule for Ankle Injuries in the Emergency Department). The study, led by Professor Sallie Lamb, aims to develop and validate a prognostic tool for acute ankle sprains in an Emergency Department setting. Work on the trial officially starts on the 1st of November and further information will be available soon on the OCTRU current projects page.
