Elena Ratcliff

Continuous Improvement Implementation Officer

My role is to work with teams and colleagues across NDORMS to deliver a programme of continuous improvement (CI) in the services and operations that support the department's valuable research and teaching activities. I am working under the direction of Mark McDermott (NDORMS COO), to support the teams in full scale service reviews as well as reviewing processes and improving policies and procedures.

I joined NDORMS in January 2024 from the Department of Politics and International Relations where I have been the Research Compliance Lead in the Research Facilitation team, in charge of promoting and maintaining a culture of compliance, research integrity and high-quality research within the department. Prior to that, I worked in the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nuffield Department of Medicine as the Research Grants and Contracts Manager.

I am a CI Associate Practitioner since February 2025 when I completed the Focus Local Practitioner Programme (Cohort 5).
