Concept of a DNA strand and protein letters

Researchers across the Institute increasingly use computational approaches to analyse high-resolution biological data on the genes, proteins, cells and microbes in tissues, in health and disease. Our data science-based research groups work together to provide expertise in computational, statistical and machine-learning approaches for the analysis of these rich experimental and clinical datasets.  Application of data science across the Institute's research portfolio is helping to drive new insights into immune system function and disease pathogenesis, as well as identification of biomarkers that predict disease outcomes and response to therapy.
