Simon Shayler

Research Systems Officer

I am part of the NDORMS IT team, principally supporting research data management across the department. Much of my role involves admin of REDCap projects, and department-wide adoption of standard human tissue storage management software (OpenSpecimen).

Previously I was working in OCTRU as a programmer and Database Officer for clinical trials, and prior to that as a Data Assistant supporting the Epidemiology group.

Before starting at NDORMS in 2013, I worked in the pesticide industry producing pesticide trial data for agrichemical companies, and I also have a PhD in biological control from Cardiff University.
