Pradeep Kumar Sacitharan won the best oral communication award at the Bone Research Society Annual Meeting.

Pradeep's research talk highlighted his DPhil work on identifying key ageing pathways in cartilage tissue which can be targeted to treat osteoarthritis.

Speaking of his award, Pradeep said: "I am delighted with this award and very happy the BRS and its members have recognised my research. I am very grateful for the aid provided by the BRS over the course of my DPhil."

The BRS is one of the largest national scientific societies in Europe dedicated to clinical and basic research into mineralised tissues, and is the oldest such society in the world. Meetings are held annually, attracting a wide audience from throughout the UK and beyond.
