Our impact story: building physiotherapy research capacity in India

Two short videos from partner institutions in India capture how an IndOx Grant helped turn a research visit into lasting physiotherapy research capacity and international collaboration.

Dr Cynthia Swarnalatha, a Senior Researcher at the Botnar Institute for Musculoskeletal Sciences, University of Oxford, received the 2022 IndOx Grant to support research capacity building in India. Through this funding, she delivered workshops on cross-cultural adaptation and psychometric evaluation at SRM College of Physiotherapy, Kattankulathur (Tamil Nadu) and PP Savani College of Physiotherapy (Surat).
Reflecting on the project, Cynthia said: 'The IndOx Grant helped turn a single visit into a network of opportunities—building research capacity and fostering lasting collaborations.'
