SARONG is a multi-centre, open-label, two-arm, parallel design, superiority Randomised Controlled Trial funded by NIHR-HTA and sponsored by the University of Oxford. The aim of the trial is to assess whether intensive surveillance after completing curatively intended treatment improves survival and health-related quality of life in patients with oesophageal or gastric cancer. We are pleased to say that SARONG is now open to recruitment, and 10 participants have been recruited in Oxford and one participant in Southampton so far (19Jul2023).
