Alice Bertocchi
Postdoctoral Researcher
I obtained my PhD at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan. Here I unraveled mechanisms of regulation of gut vessels permeability in colorectal cancer fueled by the intratumoral bacteria.
In March 2020 I joined Prof. Fiona Powrie lab where I am currently investigating the role of a newly identified kinase, called Alpha Kinase 1 (Alpk1) during intestinal colitis. I will determine the physiological and pathophysiological relevance of this novel inflammatory checkpoint in mouse models and In human IBD.
