Antony graduated from Oxford University Medical School in 2006 and followed a NIHR integrated academic training programme, during which he completed a DPhil investigating the diagnosis and treatment of hip osteoarthritis.
Clinically, he works as a Consultant Hip Surgeon at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, performing primary and revision hip surgery with a specialist interest in prosthetic joint infection.
Academically, his research interests are patient blood management, peri-operative care, and bone and joint infection. A particular focus of his research is the use of electronic healthcare record data to study the effect of interventions on patient outcomes, collaborating with teams from multiple disciplines.
