Kennedy Facilities and Laboratory Manager. Institute Safety Officer

I joined NDORMS in January 2020  as the Kennedy Institute Laboratory Manager and Safety Officer. My role is to support all the research groups based in the KIR, from equipment set-up, maintenance and repair, and ensuring day to day running of laboratories services, to guidance with Health and Safety matters. I took over as Facilities Manager in March 2023, and head up the building support team.

I started working at the University in 1991, starting as a laboratory technician and progressing to become a laboratory manager. I have worked in a number of different departments, and have a broad depth of knowledge and skills, and if i don't know the answer to a problem, i probably know someone who does!
