Grace Frost

BSc MSc

Research Assistant in Molecular Medicine

Grace is a research assistant in Molecular Medicine at the Oxford Space Innovation Laboratory in the Alsaleh group. She holds a first-class BSc in Physics and an MSc in Medical Physics and Radiobiology from the Department of Oncology, University of Oxford, and was appointed after being awarded the International Atomic Energy Agency Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme.

Her research sits at the intersection of physics, biology, and medicine, with a focus on understanding the effects of microgravity and ionising radiation on biological systems. She works with molecular and cellular assays alongside transcriptomic and imaging-based analyses, contributing to international collaborations in spaceflight research. Grace is particularly interested in how insights from space health research can advance our understanding of ageing, tissue damage, and disease on Earth, and is currently preparing for doctoral training in this interdisciplinary area.
