NIHR Doctoral Research Fellow in Musculoskeletal Trauma

  • DPhil student

I am an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellow and DPhil candidate at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS), University of Oxford. My research focuses on orthopaedic trauma, with a particular interest in understanding and reducing surgical site infections following fracture surgery.

My research aims to better understand the risk of surgical site infections (SSI) across high-risk fracture groups, and explore new approaches to reduce these risks with the aim of strengthening the evidence base to support fracture care across the NHS.

I am interested in trauma research more broadly, including the design of clinical studies and pragmatic trials, and in collaborating with patients, the public, and other healthcare professionals.
