BSc (Hons), MSc, DPhil
Postdoctoral Research Associate
I have recently completed my DPhil studies in Molecular and Cellular Medicine, with a focus in Molecular Immunology, funded by a joint Kennedy Trust Prize and Diamond Light Source (UKRI) studentship, at the Prof. Michael L. Dustin lab, Kennedy Institute, University of Oxford, in a collaborative project with the B24 beamline, at the UK's national synchrotron facility, Diamond Light Source.
During my DPhil I had the chance to investigate SupraMolecular Attack Particle (SMAP) 3D structrure and biogenesis, in the context of deciphering the mechanisms of primary human cytotoxic lymphocyte-mediated killing using cryo-Correlative Light and X-ray Tomography (cryo-CLXT) among other conventional and super-resolution microscopy, cell and molecular biology methods.
Previously obtained an MSc with Distinction in Molecular Pathology and Therapeutics of Cancer at University of Leicester, with a project supervised by Prof. Catrin Pritchard and Dr Tamihiro Kamata, investigating tumour-associated macrophage precursors in a lung adenoma murine model, and underook undergraduate studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, studying Biology with an additional specialisation in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Biotechnology.
