Priyanshu Saha is an Academic Foundation Year doctor in the Northeast London Deanery. He has an interest to pursue academic orthopaedic surgery and innovation. He graduated from St George’s University of London with several distinctions and merits throughout medical school. He also has a BSc (Hons) in Genomic Medicine. He was awarded a gold medal for serving as chair for two years for the Medical School Student Union.
His current research primarily focuses on the management of spinal metastatic disease. His research efforts have been in collaborations between institutions including but not limited to: St George's Hospital, Oxford University Hospital, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital and Leiden University Medical Center. Throughout medical school he has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications which have been presented in renowned national and international conferences. He has been awarded grants and academic prizes for his research endeavours.
Priyanshu remains passionate about medical education and research mentorship. Throughout medical school and as a doctor he has taught anatomy and clinical skills. He is passionate about mentoring medical students for research projects in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. He aspires to pursue orthopaedic surgery training and research then to explore applications in global surgery to provide sustainable healthcare solutions to populations lacking access to adequate resources and facilities. In his spare time he enjoys to travel, play guitar and watch critically acclaimed films.
