Danielle Newby
Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in Real World Evidence
My research focuses on triangulating real-world evidence from multiple sources to better understand the causes of diseases, how they evolve over time, and how we can improve prevention and treatment strategies. I am particularly interested in evaluating the safety of drugs as well as descriptive epidemiology of disease burden.
Specific areas of interest and expertise:
- Descriptive epidemiology for oncology
- Federated network studies for cancer survival
- Signal detection for drug safety
I joined NDORMS in April 2022 from the Department of Psychiatry where I led projects on drug repurposing and understanding risk factors of dementia and other mental health and neurological conditions. With a multidisciplinary background in epidemiology, pharmacology, and machine learning, my work integrates diverse approaches to improve healthcare outcomes. My complete publication list can be found here.
