Congratulations to Jonathan Cook who was successful in the 2023 University Recognition of Distinction exercise, and is now Professor Jonathan Cook, Professor of Clinical Trials and Medical Statistics.

Professor Jonathan Cook joined the Centre for Statistics in Medicine (CSM) at NDORMS, University of Oxford, in 2013 on a secondment, during which he was appointed to a University Lectureship. He is Deputy Director of the Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU), as well as being a lead statistician within the unit.

Jonathan has over 300 publications in leading medical, clinical trials, methodology and epidemiology journals and is a Deputy Editor of Clinical Trials, a member of the Editorial Board of Trials journal and a statistical consultant for the British Journal of Surgery. He released his book, An Introduction to Clinical Trials in June 2023 and has recently created a webpage with beginners resources for those new to clinical trials.
