OCTRU Training Bite: Getting the Sample Size Right
Jonathan Cook
OCTRU
Tuesday, 29 October 2019, 10am to 11am
Botnar Research Centre, Room G54
Hosted by octrutrialshub@ndorms.ox.ac.uk
This session will cover how the sample size is calculated for a randomised trial in an accessible manner for non-statisticians. The most common approach will be explained along with variations in the framing of the calculation (e.g. for non-inferiority design). The key inputs used in the calculation will be explained (such as the target difference), along with how values for them may be chosen using examples to illustrate the impact and how the final sample size is determined.
Places need to be booked on this course.
