Amy Jones

Clinical Trial Manager

I joined NDORMS in September 2017 as a Clinical Trial Manager for the NINJA study. Prior to this, I was a research coordinator in NDS on a large observational cohort study for two years. I managed the administration of a vascular study and was also patient facing through recruiting and taking histories and samples from participants. Before that, I worked in behavioural neuroscience research for 13 years across various University departments. I gained my MSc through researching the molecular mechanisms underlying hippocampal-dependent learning and memory.

NINJA is a pragmatic multicentre randomised controlled study looking at nailbed injuries in under-16s. It aims to assess the effects of replacing or discarding the fingernail by comparing the risk of infection and cosmetic appearance.
