Since 2013 I have worked in clinical research in both non-commercial and commercial settings contributing to the management of global and UK-only clinical trials/studies in a variety of therapeutic areas including: oncology, respiratory, haematology, trauma and orthopaedics.

Within the university, I started my career as a Trial Support Officer at the Oncology Clinical Trials Office (OCTO). I have also worked at the Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit (PC-CTU) as a Trial Manager on PANORAMIC: A Platform Adaptive trial of NOvel antiviRals for eArly treatMent of COVID-19 In the Community. Globally, PANORAMIC is the largest and fastest recruiting randomised trial of community-based treatment for COVID-19 and has informed clinical deployment decisions in the UK and around the world.

I am currently a Senior Trial Manager at the NDORMS Surgical Intervention Trials Unit (SITU) where I have operational oversight of a number of trials/studies within the portfolio and line manage some of the trial management team. In my previous Trial Manager roles within SITU, I have set up and managed two large multi-centre surgical trials: SPAARK (Study of Peri-Articular Anaesthetic for Replacement of the Knee) and ORiF (The Operative Rib Fixation Study).

I gained a BSc (Hons) in Human Physiology from the University of Leeds in 2011.
