Naomi Vides
OCTRU Medical Statistician
I joined the Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU), part of the Centre for Statistics in Medicine (CSM) as a Medical Statistician in March 2023. I’m currently working on a range of trials, predominantly Phase I or II safety, dose-finding or feasibility studies.
Previously, I spent just over two years as a Statistician at a Contract Research Organisation (CRO) providing reporting services for Clinical Trials in Industry. I worked mainly on Phase III Oncology trials, using RECIST methodology for assessing the efficacy of new cancer treatments through Survival Analysis. I'm interested in various areas of Oncology Trials such as the Estimands framework for defining efficacy endpoints, and use of Multiple Imputation for missing data.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Oxford and MSc in Statistics with Applications in Medicine from the University of Southampton.
My personal interests include Bayesian Methodology and its uses in Rare Disease.
