Odette Dawkins

Clinical Trial Co-ordinator

  • Trial Coordinator TRANSLATE
  • Trial Coordinator PART

I joined the University of Oxford in 2018 and have enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside medical research in a number of areas to form an active role in surgical and clinical trials both in their set-up and as active trials.

After undertaking internal and external training programmes, I am now involved in two clinical research trials focusing on prostate cancer working on the TRANSLATE Study and the PART study.

TRANSLATE is a randomised controlled trial of TRANSrectal biopsy versus Local Anaesthetic Transperineal biopsy Evaluation (TRANSLATE) of potentially clinically significant prostate cancer

PART is a randomised controlled trial of Partial prostate Ablation versus Radical Treatment in intermediate risk, unilateral clinically localised prostate cancer (PART)

I am proud to be a Mental Health First Aider.

I hold a working committee place within the NDS Equality Diversity and Inclusion Committee (EDIC) and assist with NDS staff event planning, such as the Away Day and other social events.

In 2021, I received a joint NDS COVID Champions award in the category of Team Effort for the NDS Events.

In 2021, I was awarded a Staff Reward and Recognition for my contribution to NDS.
