As Research Grants Manager for the Botnar Research Centre, my work focusses on the post award management of our research grants.
NDORMS has a large grants portfolio, from a large variety of funders including charities, research councils, government and industry. I work closely with PIs and funders, alongside Research Accounts, to ensure that grant funds are correctly allocated and spending abides by the funders’ terms and conditions.
I liaise frequently with PIs and work closely with the Personnel and Accounts Payables teams to ensure that staffing and spending levels on grants are correct throughout the lifetime of awards.
Before joining the department in April 2014 I completed a PhD in Biochemistry at the University in York in 2012, following which I worked in the grants team at Prostate Cancer UK.
