Shing (Tom) Law

Clinical Research Fellow in Rheumatology
Shing (Tom) Law studied medicine at Jesus College, University of Oxford. He subsequently completed Internal Medicine residency at Steward Carney Hospital and Rheumatology fellowship at Boston Medical Center in Massachusetts, USA. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
His research interests include translational research such as musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound guided synovial biopsy, and clinical trials to advance therapies for patients with rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis.
Outside of research, he is Governor of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where he represents the interests of the public and staff. Collectively as the Council of Governors, its role is to hold the non-executive directions to account for the performance of the Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Oxford Medical Alumni Advisory Board where he provides support and guidance on the alumni strategy with a goal of increasing and enhancing engagement among its global community.
His extracurricular interests include representing Oxford University Polo Club and Oxford University Fencing Club in national competitions, as well as recreational membership of Oxford University Lawn Tennis Club and Oxford University Table Tennis Club.
