Our research focuses on the clinical and cost effectiveness of orthopaedic surgery.
Musculoskeletal trauma is a huge issue for patients, the NHS and society more broadly. There are so many areas where we can improve patient care and the work of Oxford Trauma addresses this to deliver better solutions to all.
We run a number of clinical trials in orthopaedic trauma and aim to inform best practice in the field, as well as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines.
Oxford Trauma is situated at the Kadoorie Critical Care Research Centre located at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
