Associate Professor James Fullerton has been awarded Fellowship of the British Pharmacological Society (BPS) following a recommendation by their Honors and Fellows Panel, recognising his sustained contribution to the discipline of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics.

James currently splits his time between NDORMS at the University of Oxford (where he is a Principal Investigator) and the John Radcliffe Hospital, where he is an Acute General Medicine Physician and Clinical Pharmacologist. His research uses experimental medicine techniques to interrogate variation in the human immune system and help develop new immunomodulatory therapeutics, promoting scientific translation for patient benefit.

On receiving the Fellowship, James said ‘I am delighted my role in supporting and furthering Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics in both the NHS and academic domains has been recognised by my peers. This award only serves to inspire me to further grow and advance this small but vital specialty over the coming years’.
