The REACH study has officially opened to recruitment, aiming to enrol a total of 1,214 participants!
This randomised clinical trial is comparing self-directed rehabilitation vs physiotherapist-supervised rehabilitation for individuals aged 16 and older who have a non-surgically managed proximal humerus fracture.
People with this injury are usually offered several physiotherapy sessions, but getting to the hospital for appointments can be difficult. REACH will aim to find out if high quality self-management advice could provide an effective alternative to hospital visits.
