Congratulations to Teya Agnese, who won the 2nd Year Apprentice Award at the University of Oxford Apprentice Awards ceremony on 11 March. The annual Expo and Awards event, held at the iconic Sheldonian Theatre, is a fantastic way to celebrate and recognise all apprentices and staff across the University of Oxford who are undertaking Apprenticeship training to develop their careers.
"I felt overjoyed and shocked to have been announced the winner of the University of Oxford 2nd Year Apprentice Award!," said Teya. "It was such a great feeling to not only have won, but having been recognised for my hard work by my lovely team here at NDORMS/SITU. I can't thank my team enough for their support and encouragement throughout the year."
Teya joined the Surgical Intervention Trials Unit (SITU) as an Apprentice Clinical Trial Support Officer in November 2018. Working in a team of Trial Management professionals running a varied and growing portfolio of clinical trials, she is studying a Level 2 & 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with Abingdon and Witney College.
Heidi Fletcher, SITU data manager at NDORMS is Teya's line manager. "I am delighted that Teya has won this award. She has gone from strength to strength since she started her apprenticeship just over a year ago. Teya has grasped all opportunities that her apprenticeship has had to offer and has taken responsibility for her own personal development. She is an inspiration to young people and to all of us who work with her."
Teya's next goal is to complete her level 3 business administration apprenticeship which is an 18 month long course, and hopes in the long term to progress her career in clinical trials.
